Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups rolled oats
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips, we prefer dark chocolate
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 F.
2. Cream together butter and sugars until smooth.
3. Add eggs and vanilla and blend in.
4. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in oats and chocolate chunks.
5. Drop by tablespoons onto a greased baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown around the edges.
6. Cool on a wire rack, if you can wait that long.
